Independence Day is coming, and what better way to celebrate than with this beautiful 4th of July Star Chalkboard Wreath! This wreath is easy to make and perfect for marking the patriotic day in your home. All you need is some wire, a piece of paper, and some star stickers. Once you’ve assembled the wreath, it’s time to add the stars. Just use a glue stick to put a star on top of each wire rod. You’re done!
Have fun making this 4th of July Star Chalkboard Wreath and be sure to share it on social media!

Here’s a tutorial for making a wreath using a platter. Yes, I said platter. I love using unconventional items for projects. I was actually given this star platter and was going to garage sale it. But, then inspiration struck me!

Here’s what you need:

  • Any Shape Platter
  • Chalk Board Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Drill
  • Drill Bit (I used 5/16″. You could even go smaller.)
  • Ribbon
  • A Piece of Chalk

First, I polished the star platter with a little silver polish. I think it is silver plated because it polished up quite nicely.

Next, drill a hole into the top of the platter.

Paint the chalk board paint onto the platter. I used Martha Stewart’s chalk board paint. O.k. I have to be honest here. I didn’t think the paint was going to work on the surface of this platter. The bottle of chalkboard paint also said multi-surface. But as I painted my first layer of paint, I thought this was going to be a big project fail. However, it turned out great. I had to add several layers though, at least 5 layers.

Attach any the bow. I used floral wire, but you could even loop the ribbon through the hole of the platter too. Write on the chalk board surface.

FAQs

Q: What is the importance of chalkboard?

A: Chalkboards give teachers a venue to observe and keep an eye on unruly students, enabling them to maintain better control over their classrooms. The use of chalkboards also necessitates turning on the lights in the classroom, which keeps students’ attention and enables teachers to keep a closer eye on their behaviour.

Q: what is a chalkboard wreath made of?

A: A chalkboard wreath is a beautiful way to add some seasonal brightness to your home. It is made of shredded paper, foil, and tulle (or other lightweight fabric) and is tied around the branches with Christmas ribbon or wire hanger. The shredded paper gives it that rustic look and feel, while the foil adds a touch of glitzy elegance. You can also customize this wreath by adding small pompoms ornaments at specific points along the length of the strands. This whimsical decoration makes an ideal gift for friends and family members who are avid readers or fans of vintage-inspired decorating styles. Plus, it’s easy enough to make yourself – all you need are some scrap pieces of paper lying around!

Q: Which materials were used to create the chalkboard wreath?

A: The chalkboard wreath was made from a mixture of wood composites and metal plates. The wood composites were used to create the look and feel of a real chalkboard, while the metal plates provide durability and stability. The composition of the materials also allows for easy repainting or customization if necessary.
